Hello! My name is Hannah Campos I am a twenty-one-year-old undergraduate attending Central Washington University. Upon graduating high school in the small town of Soldotna, Alaska, where I was born and raised, I began attending a small community college that I knew would be very temporary. I began working through my general education in search of a university that could offer me an education in my field of interest, fashion. I am now working though my Senior year here at Central Washington University and be graduating spring of 2018 with Bachelor of Science in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising with a Minor in Retail Management.

​         I am extremely eager to apply my creative ability and the knowledge I have gained through my educational experience to a buying and merchandising position as well as I am extremely passionate about working to create a total retail experience that has a positive impact on consumers. Upon completing my degree this Spring I would like to pursue working in a hands-on environment that would allow me to work towards a career in buying and merchandising. I have the knowledge to perform retail and merchandising operations. I have taken a series of courses that would be applicable to a buying and merchandising position; such as, a series of retail management courses, textile courses and leadership courses. These courses have made international retailing familiar and given me the skills to manage, perform market analysis, provide quality customer service, organize, manage merchandise, provide human resource management and financial planning and the ability to effectively perform in a leadership role. In addition, my education has prepared me with the knowledge to operate software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I believe my knowledge in these areas combined with my ability to work in team based structures as well as independently would make me a great candidate a buying and merchandising position.

               In efforts to achieve my visions of becoming a buyer/merchandiser upon graduating I will be interning with imprinted sportswear company, SanMar, as a Global Sourcing inter. My hope is that this internship will help me to gain hands-on experience in the apparel industry that will better prepare me for a future position. I believe that my educational background in Apparel, Textiles and Merchandising and Retail Management will be extremely helpful to this field and very applicable to future position in buying and merchandising.
